is an international, participatory project by the Minority Competence Network Schleswig-Holstein/Southern Denmark (minority-network.org). Its aim is to make visible the personal stories, perspectives, and experiences of members of national and linguistic minorities across Europe and to present them in a digital exhibition format.
At the heart of the project are individual contributions—such as videos, texts, or images—submitted and published via a central online platform. In this way, the project creates a low-threshold space for self-representation, exchange, and encounter. At the same time, it contributes to raising awareness of minority rights, cultural diversity, and social cohesion.
“Who We Are” combines digital innovation with civic and political education: by bringing together personal stories, it creates a multi-voiced picture of European realities beyond majority narratives. The project is aimed in particular at young people, civil society actors, and the interested public, and it fosters cross-border dialogue.

This year, together with the MKN we are planning a second recording session during our co-organised event Connecting Voices on June 10-14 at Knivsberg. If you want to be part of it, check out our Open Call here:
Deadline is May 10.
The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of the Interior by decision of the German Bundestag. Some contributions were created during events and seminars in cooperation with the Youth of European Nationalities.
