Archive of our Projects

Who We Are is a digital, interactive exhibition that gives a voice to autochthonous minorities in Europe. It shares personal stories, languages, cultures, and experiences from people living in the German-Danish-Frisian border region and beyond.

The project is organized by the Minority Competence Network Schleswig-Holstein / Southern Denmark (MKN), which connects minority organizations, educational institutions, and regional partners.

On the online platform, people can upload their own videos, photos, texts, and audio stories. An interactive Story Map shows where these stories come from and highlights the diversity of minority life across Europe. The project also includes professional documentaries, podcasts, and a traveling exhibition linked to the online platform through QR codes.

Who We Are is open to everyone who belongs to or feels connected to a minority community and wants to share their story.

The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of the Interior by decision of the German Bundestag. Some contributions were created during events and seminars in cooperation with the Youth of European Nationalities.
