YENs General Assembly 2021 will take place online: 8 May at 9:30 am (CEST).

We are looking forward to reporting what we did throughout the year (October 2020 and first part of 2021), letting the GA vote to discharge the Board, adopting the Budget and informing you about the plans we came up with for the next year!

Also, we have to implement the elections of the Board: Vice President for External Relations, Vice President for Internal Relations, Convenor for Minority Rights and Politics, Convenor for Member Integration, and Working Group Members.

Don´t worry, we do not plan to have a full day online meeting. In order to keep the online GA short there will be several preparation activities related to the reports, the elections and policy discussions broken up into bite-sized pieces. You will also receive all the reports in advance, so you can read them in your own time at home.

Note: Due to cancelled  current travel restrictions in Europe, we cannot implement a residential General Assembly. Relevant provisions of the Dutch and German law to mitigate the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic for organisations such as ours, allow us to hold an online meeting this year.

Die Hauptversammlung der JEV 2021 findet am 8. Mai um 9:30 Uhr (CEST) online statt.

Wir freuen uns Euch berichten zu können, was wir im Laufe des Jahres (Oktober 2020 und erster Teil des Jahres 2021) gemacht haben und was wir für das nächste Jahr vorhaben. Zudem wird die Hauptversammlung über die Annahme des Budget entscheiden und das Präsidium entlasten.

Darüber hinaus finden auch Wahlen statt. Es werden folgende Vorstandspositionen neu besetzt: Vizepräsident*in für Externes, Vizepräsident*in für Internes, Kommissar*in für Minderheitenrechte und Politik, Kommissar*in für Mitgliederintegration. Aber auch die Mitglieder der Arbeitsgruppen werden gewählt.

Macht Euch keine Sorgen – wir haben es nicht vor den ganzen Tag online zu tagen. Damit unsere digitale HV kurz bleibt, haben wir einige Vorbereitungsaktivitäten geplant, die Euch die Berichte und die Wahlprozedur erläutern, sowie politische Diskussionen ermöglichen. Ihr werdet auch alle Berichte im Voraus erhalten, so dass ihr sie zuhause lesen könnt.

Hinweis: Aufgrund der Absage der zahlreichen Reisebeschränkungen in Europa, können wir keine reguläre Hauptversammlung durchführen. Die entsprechenden Bestimmungen des niederländischen und deutschen Gesetzes zur Abmilderung der Folgen der COVID-19-Pandemie ermöglichen es uns, in diesem Jahr eine Online-Versammlung durchzuführen.

At the General Assembly on 8th May 2021, we will be electing a new Board and Working Group members for the Youth of European Nationalities. Here you can find more information on the election procedure.

The positions for election include:

  • Vice President for External Relations,
  • Vice President for Internal Relations,
  • Convenor for Minority Rights and Politics,
  • Convenor for Member Integration,
  • Auditor,
  • members for our three Working Groups (WG Integration, WG Minority Rights and Politics, WG Communication).

For a long time I have been taking part in various projects of social organisations in Russia, and now I would like to try working on a new level. I am full of ideas and I want to contribute to social work, e.g. to the integration of European minorities. This is a great opportunity for
me.

My work with “Jugendring der Russlanddeutschen” has already contributed to my personal growth and development not only as a representative of a minority but also as a member of society. I truly believe that joining a Working Group means not only enlarging my scope and being able to build relationships with people from all over the world. To me it also means transferring of my knowledge and skills in creating managing projects, working with people of different ages and making up new plans and ideas to a totally new level.

Kandidat für die Arbeitsgruppe “Mitgliederintegration”

Schon lange Zeit nehme ich an verschiedenen Projekten von gesellschaftlichen Organisationen in Russland teil, und jetzt möchte ich probieren, an eine neue Stufung zu arbeiten. Ich bin voller Ideen und will einen Beitrag zur sozialen Arbeit u.z. zur Integration der europäischen Minderheiten leisten. Das ist eine große Möglichkeit für mich.

Meine Arbeit beim “Jugendring der Russlanddeutschen” hat bereits zu meinem persönlichen Wachstum und meiner Entwicklung nicht nur als Vertreter einer Minderheit, sondern auch als Mitglied der Gesellschaft beigetragen. Ich glaube wirklich, dass der Beitritt zu einer Arbeitsgruppe nicht nur bedeutet, meinen Wirkungskreis zu erweitern und Beziehungen zu Menschen aus der ganzen Welt aufbauen zu können. Für mich bedeutet es auch, dass ich mein Wissen und meine Fähigkeiten bei der Erstellung von Managementprojekten, der Arbeit mit Menschen unterschiedlichen Alters und der Ausarbeitung neuer Pläne und Ideen auf eine völlig neue Ebene bringen kann.

Each member organization of YEN can nominate up to three delegates to the GA. This nomination must be handed in in written form (with the use of this form) before the start of the GA. Because of the technical restrictions only one delegate from those nominated, can vote on behalf of the nomination organization.

The nomination must be signed by a legal representative of the organization (this could be board members or Office Staff, depending on each organization`s own regulations).

Extraordinary members shall also nominate their delegates, even though they have no voting rights. Extraordinary members and supporting members can participate in the GA fully, run in the elections, speak and submit proposal to the GA.

The General Assembly (GA) is open to the public. Those without nomination can participate as guests, but should contact office@yeni.org beforehand to access the GA.

To ensure that the GA can take place online without major delays, please send the delegation form to office@yeni.org until the 25th of April.

Jede Mitgliederorganisation der JEV kann bis zu drei Delegierte für die HV nominieren. Die Nominierung muss in schriftlicher Form (mit diesem Formular) vor dem Start der HV eingereicht werden. Aufgrund technischer Einschränkungen darf nur ein*e Delegierte*r (von den nominierten) im Namen ihrer Organisation abstimmen.

Die Nominierung muss von einer*m rechtlichen Vertreter*in der Organisation unterschrieben sein (dies kann ein Vorstandsmitglied oder ein*e Angestellte*r sein, abhängig von den Statuten der jeweiligen Organisation).

Außerordentliche Mitglieder sollen auch ihre Delegierte nominieren, auch wenn sie kein Stimmrecht haben. Außerordentliche Mitglieder und Gäste können an der HV teilnehmen, sich zur Wahl stellen, haben Rederecht und dürfen Vorschläge einbringen.

Die Hauptversammlung (HV) ist öffentlich. Interessierte ohne Nominierung können als Gäste teilnehmen, sollen sich jedoch im Voraus beim JEV-Büro melden (office@yeni.org) um den Zugang zur HV zu bekommen.

Damit wir die HV ohne große Verzögerung online durchführen können, bitten wir euch dieses Formular bis zum 25. April an office@yeni.org zu senden.

Proposed changes to the Statutes and Rules of Procedure

After the discussions at the last year’s GA and the still ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Board proposes changes to the Statutes and Rules of Procedure especially in regards to holding the statutory meetings online in cases of extraordinary circumstances, such as this one is. Please have a look at all the proposed amendments (marked with pink) and add your thoughts and comments to them using this link before the GA.
