On Saturday, 16^th June 2012, Stanislaw Tillich, Ministerpräsident of Saxony and patron of the 2^ndEuropeada, opened the 2^nd European National Minorities Soccer Championship with a symbolic goal in Crostwitz, Lusatia. On behalf of YEN President Sebastian Seehauser, Vice-President Kostika Poci, Chair of the YLC Madlena Kowar, Convenor for Politics Fatma Resit and YEN Director Eva Penzes participated at the ceremony.

Here, in addition to Ministerpräsident Stanislaw Tillich, FUEN- President Hans Heinrich Hansen, Chairman of the Domowina David Statnik and Managing Director of Domowina Bernhard Ziesch welcomed the guests with their opening speeches.

During the event, the YEN representatives took the opportunity to present the Youth of European Nationalities to Ministerpräsident Stanislaw Tillich. Here the YEN reported that as the largest network of European minority youth organizations it holds 40 member organizations under its umbrella and furthermore advocates for the cultural and linguistic diversity in Europe.  As a token gesture, YEN presented Ministerpräsident Tillich with a “Minority Handbook”.
