Board meeting 04.12.2009 till 06.12.2009, Flensburg / Germany

The board of the Youth of European Nationalities met from Friday 04.12.2009 till Sunday 06.12.2009 in Flensburg / Germany. As always, at the end of the year most of the work has to be done. On the agenda were the closing of the seminars financially, general finances, the evaluation of the FUEN Congress in Brussels, an update of the language network RML2future, the Dialogue Forum and the current position of YEN in the European Youth Forum. Not only discussions and evaluation about past projects were on the agenda, also the Youth Leader Committee Meeting 2010 in Budaörs / Hungary was planned at the board meeting. The Meeting will likely to be from Thursday 11.02.2010 till Sunday 14.02.2010, more information will follow soon. Also the Songbook was brought to its final stage, new topics were included and the offer from the copy shop was presented. But the biggest point on the agenda was basically the new Office. The process, including the hiring of the candidates was planned. The expectations of the candidates was defined and discussed. Some of the board members extended their stay in Flensburg to be take part the interviews of the candidates on Tuesday 08.12.2009. The results of the interviews were overall positive and all the out coming aspects will be taken into consideration when choosing the best candidates. Although there was almost no free minute on the agenda left, the board of YEN was happy to follow the invitation of Junge Spitzen to celebrate their Julefrokost (traditional Danish Christmas party). The celebration took place in the German rowing club in Apenrade / Denmark. The Board of YEN enjoyed the culinary delight and would like to thank the organizers of Junge Spitzen for the invitation and is looking forward to good future cooperation.
