Pùlczi ze sledzã – Potatoes with Herring salad topping from the Kashubians in Poland
The summer is coming to an end to fast, but those who want to hold on to it for a little while longer, can try themselves with this weeks Meal Monday recipe from the Kashubians in Poland.
Prep time: 15 min Total time: 30 min
500 g Saltet Herring Fillets
250 ml Sour Cream
Drain the herring, cut into bite size pieces, and drizzle with lemon juice. Set aside. In a large bowl combine onions, salt and pepper with the sour cream. Add herrings, mix well, and cover and cool in the fridge for at least an hour.
When ready to serve, cook potatoes with skin in boiled salted water. After cooking, peel the potatoes, place them, still hot, on a plate and top with the cold fish mixture.
